Intergenerational asset management structures
- Advising on trusts and endowment funds intended for the management of family assets (establishment, restructuring, liquidation), or in connection with common foreign alternatives (such as Liechtenstein foundations or offshore trust structures)
- Advising on inheritance law (inheritance contract, will, legacy), the status of non-nominal heirs (including in relation to trusts and similar structures) and related acquisitions in the event of death (donation mortis causa, executor of a will), including international aspects (e.g. applicable law)
- Advising on matrimonial property law, including issues relating to the relationship between the matrimonial property and assets in family wealth management structures (trusts and endowment funds), including the consequences of foreign court decisions (or the recognition thereof) in relation to such structures
- Advising on the wider structuring of family relationships, including the issue of family offices and their relationship to other arrangements, the role of family offices, professional (corporate) trustees, investment advisers or the inclusion of investment funds in family wealth management structures (including regulatory implications)
