For students
Our long-standing presence in the market, along with four Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence as the best law firm in the Czech Republic, are just part of the evidence of our expertise. We have been involved in some of the most significant legal cases, often shaping the legislative environment and setting new standards across various areas of law. This continuous learning and development enable us to maintain a high standard of quality in our services, providing clients with comprehensive solutions even in the most challenging situations
We strive to deliver innovative solutions for our clients. While the legal world may appear rigid and unchanging, we believe that creativity and fresh perspectives bring added value. If you prefer an innovative approach, you will find the space to bring your ideas to life with us.
We support independence and trust our team members in their decision-making. However, it is always possible to consult even the smallest details with colleagues. Our work pace is flexible and adapts to individual needs, while maintaining an informal work atmosphere – we value authenticity and comfort.
Our clients include
First, you’ll meet with our office manager. They will discuss your expectations for a student role and what areas interest you the most. In the next round, you’ll meet with one of KŠB’s partners and possibly other colleagues. There won’t be any tests – the most important thing is how well we align and connect.
We don't require any experience – we understand you may not have it yet. However, we believe that during your first year of law school, you should primarily focus on getting familiar with your studies. What matters more to us is how much time you can dedicate to working in the office. To start, we need at least two days a week so you can work on your tasks more consistently – this way, it will make more sense for both you and us..
If you're a complete beginner, you'll start with basic tasks. You’ll begin by assisting our know-how manager or handling simple research and preparing materials for more senior colleagues. As you gain experience, you’ll take on more complex tasks and may even work directly with clients. You won’t be making coffee or running errands – we have other colleagues for that. You’ll also have the chance to rotate through different teams, gaining experience in a variety of specializations. This way, you can explore areas like energy and environmental topics, banking, or aviation law.
We understand that school always comes first. That’s why our working hours are flexible, and during exam periods, you’ll have as much time off as you need. Just coordinate with other colleagues in student positions and plan together which days you can be in the office.
You’ll find a welcoming environment here (we don’t believe in open spaces or formal dress codes). You’ll work for leading Czech and international clients, frequently using your foreign language skills (a good command of English is a given, and we’ll appreciate any additional languages). You’ll be involved in unique projects, often the first of their kind on the Czech market. We regularly organize teambuilding activities (participation is optional). You’ll meet many leading legal experts here – authors of legislative drafts, commentaries, and other publications. And of course, the usual perks: annual bonuses, meal allowances, Multisport card, bike storage…
Our greatest asset is our friendly team. You can approach colleagues at any level, even those in the highest positions, and you’ll always find an open door. We understand that nobody is perfect, so we won’t hold mistakes against you – everyone makes them. We emphasize an individual approach – this isn’t the army. And we’ll always provide you with honest feedback.
We can’t guarantee anything – it always depends on mutual satisfaction. However, we can confidently say that the majority of our students transition to the position of junior associate, and many of them stay with us even after passing their bar exams.
