Transport
We advise transport operators, transport infrastructure providers, investors and banks on financing for infrastructure or transport assets, insurance companies and even regulators. We can advise not only on contracts, but also on complex regulation, insurance claims and disputes arising from contracts or third-party liability. Clients also benefit from our experience in mergers and acquisitions within the industry.
In the rail transport sector, we provide comprehensive legal services covering a wide range of activities. We support carriers and infrastructure operators in licensing and certification, draft and negotiate contracts, participate in public and other tenders, as well as in dispute resolution, including out-of-court and court proceedings. We have also long supported alternative rail carriers in the process of opening up the rail market. We place emphasis on environmental aspects and assist clients with sustainable projects, such as infrastructure modernization and investments in low-emission rolling stock. Our services also include advising on international rail transport and negotiating access to infrastructure, including rail network capacity agreements.
In the air transport sector, we are one of the few law firms in the country that provides comprehensive advice, including on the purchase, leasing, financing and operation of aircraft. We assist clients inregistering aircraft and in negotiating maintenance, charter and crew training contracts. We have in-depth knowledge of aviation regulation, including drone regulation, public support and environmental regulations such as emission allowances (ETS, CORSIA) and the introduction of sustainable fuels (SAF). We successfully represent clients in disputes arising from aviation accidents, flight delays and cargo damage and assist both insurers and aircraft operators. In addition, we provide legal support for space activities such as satellite supplies, intellectual property protection and subcontract negotiations to ESA standards.
We have also been involved in alternative mobility projects (e.g. ŠKODA X projects) and charging infrastructure (Chargee project), which are making a majorcontribution to the modernization and sustainability of transport.
In the transport sector, we also focus on competition, public aid and public procurement, which are key issues for the sector.
