<em>De minimis</em> level for State aid to be raised

The main feature of the new Commission regulation on de minimis aid is to raisethe level for State aid to be considered as compatible with EC law from EUR100,000 to EUR 200,000 over any period of three years as of 1 January 2007. Itmust be noted that significant changes have been introduced regarding the methodused to calculate the de minimis ceiling (now EUR 200,000) as well as the areasto which de minimis rules apply.
