Bills pending debate - VAT Act
The Senate, at the 4th session held on 26 January 2011, returned the VAT Act with two proposed amendments to the House of Representatives

- Although the Senate’s resolution has not yet been made available, the first proposed amendment is of a rather technical and legislative nature while the second one concerns the right to deduct VAT. The Senate has proposed that tax payers claiming deduction for a particular taxation period should be able to do so merely on grounds of having a tax document within the period for filing of the tax return for the said taxation period.
