KSB advises on a timeshare contract
KSB adjusted the Interval’s exchange membership contract to comply with new Act No. 28/2011, Coll., which took effect on 23 February 2011 and amends the Civil Code, Act No. 40/1964, Coll. The amendment implements Directive 2008/122/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 January 2009 on the protection of consumers in respect of certain aspects of timeshare, long-term holiday product, resale and exchange contracts into Czech law. The new law supersedes the existing law on the protection of consumers when entering into agreements on the use of a building or a part thereof for a limited period of time under the existing provisions of Sections 58 through 65 of the Civil Code.
