KSB advises aircraft lessors on the restructuring of Czech Airlines and Smartwings

In relation to the end of Czech Airlines’ operations, a unique restructuring and consolidation of Smartwings took place by transferring a significant part of CSA’s enterprise to Smartwings.

KSB’s team consisting of Jiří Horník, Jan Lasák and Ota Mach assisted the leading aircraft lessors leasing aircraft to Czech Airlines to undergo this - in the aviation sector - unique transformation and to make sure that their rights arising from the lease agreements shall remain unaffected. By means of the restructuring and introducing a new aircraft type (A220-300), Smartwings aims to reduce costs, increase its market share, enhance its network, and improve its financial stability.
