KŠB Advised on ENERGO-PRO’s First Bond Issue

The legal advice provided by KŠB’s team of experts led by partner Christian Blatchford focused on Czech law issues, primarily from the loan perspective, since consent to the financing needed to be obtained from banks.
The bonds were placed with a large number of internationally-renowned institutional and private investors. The net proceeds from the issue will be used to refinance existing loans and for general corporate purposes.
The ENERGO-PRO Group operates hydroelectric power plants in Central and Eastern Europe, the Black Sea and the Caucasus. As a formerly Czech company, ENERGO-PRO gradually expanded into Bulgaria, Georgia and Turkey. The company is also engaged in the distribution and sale of electricity, and is involved in international power trading.
