UEFA Euro 2012: Employers’ Manual
This is why KSB and other international law firms teamed up and drafted a manual that answers labour-related FAQs employers may wish to ask and have answered in connection with the Championships.
“The manual is designed to provide employers with a brief summary of measures they may adopt to avoid too leisurely atmosphere at the workplace due to the event as a result of which the company’s performance could suffer,” said Sasha Štěpánová, a KSB’s attorney-at-law who was involved in the drafting. “Rather than preventing employees from enjoying the event the manual should help set fair rules for all parties involved” added Sasha.
The manual features issues such as absence without leave, adjustment of working hours, internet and e-mail monitoring, alcohol testing or betting at the workplace. Each topic includes aspects of national jurisdictions such as the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Great Britain, France, Italy, and Spain.
The manual was issued by the Employment Law Alliance, an association of leading law firms from over 135 countries worldwide which are engaged in labour-law advice. KSB is a Czech Republic’s exclusive member of the Employment Law Alliance.
