Acquisition of apt Group by Inner Mongolia Mengtai Listed in Deals of the Year 2020

KŠB’s assistance included comprehensive due diligence of the Czech subsidiary apt Products s.r.o., advice on the transaction documentation, and advice on competition and regulatory issues (especially in the field of the environment and GDPR). Mengtai Group’s main legal advisor was major German law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek.
Inner Mongolia Mengtai is one of the largest private companies in the Inner Mongolia Region of China – is engaged in coal mining, electricity generation, and the aluminium industry.
The apt group is one of the European leaders in the aluminium industry. It is engaged in manufacturing, processing and marketing aluminium profiles and products for the construction, transportation, automotive and other industries. The group’s manufacturing facilities in Germany, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic were part of the acquisition.
